GERALD J. REYNOLDS of WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASS, February 24, 1945 – October 26, 2013
West Springfield, Gerald J. Reynolds, 68, of West Springfield and formerly of Greenfield died Saturday, October 26th at the home of his sister. He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Graves) Reynolds for 45 wonderful years. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Harriet (Blair) Reynolds. He was a working foreman in the Physical Plant at the University of Massachusetts, retiring in 2002. He loved to camp in the summers at the Peru Rod & Gun Club in Peru NY and winters in Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by two sons, Richard and his wife Robin (Nims) and Matthew and his finance Kim Brothers, three grandchildren, Alexis, Bryan and Cody Reynolds. He is also survived by two brothers, John and his wife Marion, Anthony and his wife Terri, four sisters, Margaret Bariteau, Eleanor Fisher, Jeannie McCullough and Marilyn Nutting. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald. He also leaves two sister-in-laws, Beverly Strakose and husband John and Betty Noreen Graves, several nieces and nephews and one great nephew.
Calling hours will be held at The Douglass Funeral Service, Amherst on Wednesday October 30th, from 1 – 4 pm, a private family burial will follow.
