MIRIAM VICKERS

HADLEY, Miriam (Betts) Vickers, 96, died Feb. 26^th at ElaineCenter at Hadley. Married for 66 years, Miriam was the beloved wife of Douglas Vickers, retired Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England on Sept. 2, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Hannah (Lynes) Betts. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 10:00 a.m. in the West Springfield Covenant Community Church with burial following in Wildwood Cemetery, Amherst. There are no calling hours.
