AMHERST, Elizabeth Londerville died peacefully surrounded by family at Hospice at the Fisher Home on August 10, 2012. Elizabeth was born November 5, 1931 in Chicopee, MA. She was the daughter of Agnes and grand daughter of Thomas and Catherine O’Brien formerly of County CorkIreland.
Elizabeth lived her life primarily in Chicopee and Granby, MA. In retirement, she and her late husband Robert C. Londerville enjoyed their summer home in Holland, MA and their winter residence in New Port Richey, Florida.
As a widow Elizabeth recognized the importance and invaluable service of Hospice. She completed training and volunteered providing care to people in their homes as well as in a residential Hospice facility in New Port Richey.
She touched all who knew her with her generous spirit and kind heart. Elizabeth was a caring and gentle soul. She had a great fondness for all animals and her dog Robbie holds a special part of her heart.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Londerville Rhines and Kathy’s husband Kevin of Amherst, MA; her daughter Cheryl Londerville Sherry and her husband Paul of Amherst; her grandchildren Lauren Piotrowski of Amherst, MA, Robert Piotrowski of Hadley, MA, Kristin Sherry, of Easthampton, MA, Ashley Sherry of Amherst, MA and Matthew Rhines of Wareham MA.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held today, Monday, August 13th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Brigid’s Church, Amherst with burial following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee.
