Richard loved his horse racing at the Three County Fair in Northampton on Labor Day weekend every year. He also loved crosswords (a skill that he picked up from his wife Doris). Dad was an avid reader of the local newspapers on a daily basis. He knew all that was going on in the Pioneer Valley.
Dad loved his TV westerns including Gunsmoke, Maverick, Paladin, Bonanza, Bat Masterson and all that was available on his beloved Encore Westerns station.
