AMHERST, Blanche (Doleva) Orrell passed away Aug. 17, 2014 at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. Born Nov. 3, 1925 in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Lecko) Doleva. Blanche was a graduate of Amherst High School and Northampton Commercial College. She was a longtime member of the Amherst Garden Club and the Hampshire Bird Club. Blanche loved the Red Sox. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth H. Orrell in 2005. She is survived by her five sons; David Orrell and his wife Carol of Shutesbury, Bob Orrell of Sunderland, John Orrell of Florence, Bill Orrell of Hadley and Steve Orrell of Pelham; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blanche wants to thank the friends and staff at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. You are the best. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
